- Transcripts. About 2,900 automatic transcripts (whisper.cpp, large-v3-turbo) of sermons, Bible studies and services from Berean Community Church (2011–2026) and The Beacon, Los Angeles, from the sermon archive at sermons.lawrencewu.net, which is behind a password. No transcript text is published on this page.
- Chapter and verse counts. The Bible companion’s canon table, used to reject references that do not exist.
- Teacher labels. Claude Opus (Anthropic), reading 3,200 snippets in batches of 100 under one written guideline; 120 held-out snippets re-read against the guideline in a second pass.
- Student model. Kevin Clark, Minh-Thang Luong, Quoc V. Le and Christopher D. Manning, “ELECTRA: Pre-training Text Encoders as Discriminators Rather Than Generators,” ICLR 2020; checkpoint google/electra-small-discriminator (Apache 2.0), fine-tuned here.
- In the browser. Transformers.js 3.8.1 (Hugging Face) running the model with ONNX Runtime Web.
- Earlier work. The sermon archive’s own title parser (apps/sermons/generator, scripture.py) and the Bible companion’s reference parser (bible/refs.js), whose book ids and URL scheme this page reuses.
